Really enjoyed your site. My husband and I hope to rv most of the time before long. Wish you were on Facebook to follow. We love western USA!

Judy,
Thank you so much for your comment. I never thought of putting it on Facebook, but will look into it. Good luck with your RVing plans - go for it! Susan

Driving a class A MH
by: Judy Pittman

How difficult is it to drive a large motor home? Dealers assure me it is not difficult but they want to make a sell... I love the room but haven't heard from anyone who has done it.

Judy,
Sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this question - I totally missed it!
How big a motorhome are you thinking of? And, will you be towing a car? I drove a 27' Class A and towed a Corolla - no real problems, but took a good look at gas stations - could I get in and out easily? Bigger will be more of a problem there. If you can find a driving school in the early days, that would be best. Otherwise, find a big empty parking lot, set up traffic cones and practice. It will no doubt be scary at the start, but plenty of folks drive big ones, so don't worry.
Over 35' you'll find many state & national parks will not have sites to accommodate you.
Hope that helps.
Susan
