"Security is mostly a superstition…Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing." - Helen Keller
Before I began my rv adventures, before I even bought my RV, I joined the Good Sam Club on the advice of one of my RVing acquaintances. It was the best advice I ever received and I never regretted it!
Once started on my rv adventures in the fall of 2007, I kept a written rv journal, and soon decided to start this website
and record my travels here. My intention is to add information that
will be helpful to any of you that are inspired to try out this RVing
Artist at Work - March 2012
I bought my rv in the spring of 2007, took a couple of short trips, had a few rv mis-adventures, and finally took the leap that fall, leaving NC and my business for three months, setting off across the US with my cat, Bijou, and landing at the LoW-HI RV Ranch (LoW stands for Loners on Wheels) in Deming, NM. There I met Robert, who had set off from MN about the same time and landed in the same place. For the next three years my rv adventures were shared with Robert.
Until April 2010, we had two RVs, though we lived primarily in mine and often left his behind when we took trips. Then, he decided to sell his. Maybe not such a great idea!
Mehitabel and Me - December 2010
During the following seven months we became victims of too much togetherness. You will notice that I am traveling solo again (and loving it)! Following are links to all of my adventures. I'll be adding a page every month or so - keep checking back to see what’s going on!

Return from My RV Adventures to RV Adventuring
Here's a network of people around the world who are willing to offer free parking to RVers for a night or two on their own property. This is a wonderful idea for all those who love boondocking. It costs $24.95/year to become a member so you can use the services – discounted to $19.95/year if you can offer free parking on your property in return.
Having a Kindle meant I always had a book to read without adding extra weight or using precious space in my RV. Buying it was one of the smartest things I ever did!
