Buying a Used Class C RV

by Tom
(Texas)

I am looking for a Class C motorhome. I am going to buy used about 10 to 12 years old or so and would like to find out more about cost and maintenance of a older Class C.

I'd really like feedback from RVers out there as to what might be the best place to buy a Class C RV. Are there particular problems I should look out for? Any advice you can give would be great.

I am in Texas and we have a place called PPL and they have been selling consignment RV's since 1972. They have a program that cost $390 for an RV mechanic to check out the RV with me and if there are problems they will give my money back if I choose not to buy it.

Can you recommend other places worth checking out?

Good article. Thanks

Thanks for your comments, Tom. I think the $390 would be money well spent. It's definitely a good idea to have a knowledgeable person check out a used RV! See if you can get feedback from folks who have used PPL's program.
