Plan ahead for rv breakdowns

If you have ever had an rv breakdown in the middle of nowhere, had to be towed to a garage and then wait several days for a part to come, you will know it doesn't hurt to be prepared for it and have a few things with you.

My RV is a 1986 Toyota and used parts have been relatively inexpensive and easy to find. I have found a starter, alternator, and water pump, and have extra hoses and fan belts, etc in storage.

My truck engine is small and I have enough skill I could do a few repairs to it myself if I was in a tight spot. It gives me a sense of security to know I have what I need if something does break down.

Good planning!

Jenny, thanks for that comment. I think you're way ahead of me in the "being prepared" category. You sound like a very resourceful woman!
